Products:
Heirloom vegetables, natural and organic sauces and pesto, herbed sea salts, and organically grown wild and harvested mushrooms. Occasionally will have llama fiber.
Practices:
Organic, but not certified. Land had never been farmed before.
Pest and Disease Management:
Hand pick the little beggars, hot pepper and soap spray, beneficial insects, and nematodes.
Feeding Practices:
Free range chickens.
Soil and Nutrient Management:
I use manure for fertilizer from all grass fed livestock, compost, mulch for week management.
Water Usage Practices:
Rain barrels, pond water, and some city water. Pond is located in the center of 25 acres. Use pump and runoff valve.
Conservation/Land Stewardship Practices:
Natural Windbreaks and grass waterways. Cover crop with rye or wheat.
