Products:
Organic and conventional pecan halves and pieces

Practices:
All organic pecan production fall under NOP rules.Conventional pecans follow standard pecan practices.

Pest and Disease Management:
Physical observation is used for monitoring for case bearer and pecan weevil throughout pecan growing season. Documentation is kept. Pecan nut casebearer phermone traps are used for timing of release of Trichogramma wasps if and when necessary. Low hanging limbs are removed to help control weevil. Proper grove sanitation by removal of dead limbs and trees is completed yearly.

Soil and Nutrient Management:
Permanenent native grasses are allowed to grow under perennial pecan trees to act as a permanent cover or sod. Soil organic content is maintained by mowing and allowing the green material to decompose into organic matter and the nutrients be reabsorved.

Water Usage Practices:
Our native pecan groves are not irrigated and depend only on rainfall.

Conservation/Land Stewardship Practices:
We keep the native grasses and vegetation growing under the trees as a cover crop to help prevent soil erosion and improve water quality. Many of the pecan groves are considered riparian buffers that increase water infiltration, filter out sediment runoff and increase wildlife habitat.

Organic Products:
100 Organic Pecan Halves and Pecan Pieces.
